What is Cryotherapy
Is a three-minute exposure to subzero temperature at -220 to -280 degrees Fahrenheit. The extreme cold temperatures stimulate skin sensors, sending signals to the brain. The body reacts by activating regulatory body functions and assisting areas that may not be working to their fullest potential. Toxins are flushed from the peripheral tissues and the blood is enriched with oxygen, nutrients, and enzymes. Once the individual exits the cryo chamber the body immediately senses the return to normal temperature. The body then undergoes rapid vasodilation as the higher internal blood pressure drives the enriched blood back to its peripheral systems, which then in return supplies the entire body with blood that is high in oxygen, nutrients, collagen, and endorphins and activates its natural healing process. Because whole body cryotherapy is used with dry cold air, it does not freeze muscle tissue and the body can immediately return to physical activity with increased energy levels.
